Coming this Week at Stalking the Belle Époque

We’ve got a lot of great things in store this week at Stalking the Belle Époque. To begin with, we’ll continue our exploration of the world’s finest museums as we peruse their collections of magnificent paintings, sculptures, jewels and unusual artifacts.

As a special treat, we’ll be taking a look at a gorgeous French home which has been sealed since its owner’s death over one hundred years ago. This beautiful mansion is filled with glorious antiques and original fixtures and is truly undisturbed by time (after considerable restoration).

In addition to celebrating the careers and humanitarian efforts of two very different celebrities, we’ll also have a look at two vastly contrasting classic films—one, starring Montgomery Clift, is the tale of a boy who was separated from his mother in a Concentration Camp, the other, starring Ida Lupino and Elsa Lanchester, is an interesting narrative about mental illness.

Sumptuous artifacts, peculiar history, gems, and gorgeous paintings await you this week at Stalking the Belle Époque. We’re going to have a lot of fun!
